Running Club
Running helps you feel better, think better, sleep better, look better, and most of all it is FUN!!
Who Can Join?
The Running Club is for 6-12 grade students of all abilities. The only requirement is that the student wants to run.
When Will We Run?
We run on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Cheerleading
NYOS Cheerleading is offered to any student in grades 8 through 12.
Students must register and participate in a required clinic in the
spring of each year.
When is the Season?
Practices begin in mid July and the team cheers at football and basketball games from September to February.
Be on the lookout for cheerleading sign-ups in the spring!
Volleyball

Bowling

Flag Football
Flag Football fever is spreading across the country and NYOS has it!
At NYOS, Flag Football is a 100% parent run program that allows 6th- 8th grade students to participate in a fun and invigorating extracurricular sport.
Who Can Play?
Any 6th-8th Grader
(The team is coed.)

The Totally Awesomely Cool Organization of Science
NYOS's High School Science Club
We help prepare the future generation of scientists and engineers at NYOS by:
Competing at local, regional and state Science Olympiad competitions.
Working towards competing at the national level, and earning
scholarships and notoriety for TACOS members.
Exploring many facets of science not covered in class, and taking science-related field trips.
Spanish Club
Meets Wednesdays during lunch
Provides students with opportunities to:
Hang out with friends and have fun.
